Who are you?
Choca Blues blends raw blues roots with soulful grooves, improvisation and global influences. Our sound is inspired by classic Delta and Chicago blues, but shaped by life around Lake Atitlán and the many cultures that cross paths here. We love creating honest music with emotion, storytelling and rhythm, music that feels alive, spontaneous and deeply human.
Where are you from?
We’re based around San Marcos La Laguna, right on the shores of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala. The music scene here is incredibly diverse and international, you’ll hear everything from traditional Latin rhythms and reggae to blues, jazz, folk and psychedelic rock echoing through the lake towns. There’s a strong community of artists, travelers and local musicians creating a unique energy that inspires our sound every day. Big shout out to the musicians, venues, artists and beautiful souls around the lake keeping live music alive.
