Pop personified, energetic moves and soft timbre. John Michael is inspired by pop music from the early 2000’s with a cool mix of hip-hop and R&B. His songs combines his pop vocals with R&B melodies, resulting in a unique and nostalgic throwback feeling in a modern way, connecting both Y2K and today’s generation.
Where are you from?
John Michael is a rising new recording artist, songwriter, and dancer from North Little Rock, Arkansas. Growing up in the south, the birthplace of some of pop’s greatest stars, John Michael’s love for music and dance began at the early age of 3. Those southern born artists he grew up listening to -Elvis Presley, Usher, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, motivated his love for singing and performance, and influenced his style today.
After years of performing in his home state, John Michael was scouted by an LA agent and made his move to Los Angeles, California. Soon after, he had the opportunity to work alongside many artists such as Beyoncé, Meghan Trainor, Hailee Steinfeld, Meryl Streep, and many more. Working with these amazing artists brought him the best preparation for his own music path, helping build and develop his artistry, songwriting, and sound.
