Who are you?
In my music, I am to express a common message throughout each of my songs, concerning the mental health of men, gender roles, toxic masculinity, etc. A heightened awareness for the emotions of men is something that is very important to me, as I struggled greatly with mental health issues in my earlier years. I used music as my primary coping mechanism, which helped me abstain from vices like alcohol and drugs. In my music, I hope to provide an outlet for boys and men who feel uncomfortable with sharing their emotions and that they don't deserve happiness. Everyone deserves to be happy.
Where are you from?
I am originally from a little south of Chicago, IL, where the music scene is not super rampant where I lived. There were a few artists that I worked with, but definitely not as many as I've met while at school at Grand Valley State University near Grand Rapids, MI. In the first couple months of being at GVSU, I feel that I've met more artists here than I did back home altogether. It's definitely an amazing privilege to be able to work with so many talented artists.
