Who are you?
My name is Brenda Wankollie, commonly known as LaBrenda. I am an upcoming Afro-soul, RnB artist. I started singing at the age of 6yrs old in my church choir. my artistry is mostly influenced by Brendy, Beyonce, Whitney, and Adele. Because of my roots, I'm always trying to keep my music clean and inspiring. I Believe music is spiritual, and therefore it needs to be able to connect with the soul. So every music I make, i aways try to deliver it from my heart.
Where are you from?
I'm from a small country on the west coast of Africa called Liberia. Music is a big part of our culture. But due to war and other political issues, my country was left behind musically among other things. As much as we love music, we don't have a system in place that allows musicians to benefit from their music, in addition to a small population and high illiteracy rate that prevents us from having good purchasing power online. But my people love music and they never cease to support their artists the best way they can.
