Who are you?
Hi, I'm Solmère, an independent artist and songwriter creating nostalgic indie pop that lives somewhere between dreamy pop, indie acoustic, and intimate songwriting.
My music is centered around nostalgia, longing, memory, imagination, distance, and the feeling of remembering something that may have never happened.
I've always been drawn to music that feels like a place you can step into. I want my songs to feel less like they're simply telling you a story and more like they're giving you a memory of your own.
A lot of what I create comes from feelings that are difficult to explain directly — the kind of emotions that can appear out of nowhere when you're walking somewhere unfamiliar, looking through old photographs, hearing a certain guitar, watching the sky change, or suddenly feeling attached to a moment that you can't quite place.
That's the space I want Solmère to exist in.
I make music for that feeling of looking back at something you aren't even sure you experienced.
For me, nostalgia isn't only about the past. It can be about something imagined, something lost before it ever existed, something that could have happened, or even a version of yourself that you never became.
That's one of the biggest ideas behind my music.
I want to create songs that are personal enough to come from a real place, but open enough that listeners can put their own memories, people, places, and stories inside them.
Where are you from?
I’m an independent artist currently based in Egypt, but my project is intentionally not centered around a specific local music scene. Solmère is built around nostalgic indie pop, intimate songwriting, dreamy textures, and creating an emotional world that can connect with listeners anywhere.
